Setup Time
Founders and product teams struggle with a fundamental question: what should we build next? Too often, the answer comes from gut instinct, stakeholder politics, or copying competitors. Months get wasted on features nobody actually wanted.
Meanwhile, users feel disconnected. They submit feedback into a void, never knowing if anyone heard them. No transparency on what's coming. No way to influence the roadmap. This disconnect leads to churn — users leave because they don't feel heard.
The tools that exist to solve this are expensive. Canny costs $400+/month. ProductBoard is enterprise pricing. Most founders end up with static Notion pages or PDFs that feel lifeless and one-way. Users can't engage, can't vote, can't suggest. The roadmap becomes a broadcast, not a conversation.
Roadmaps is a live, interactive roadmap where users vote on features they want most, suggest new ideas, and see progress in real-time. It's completely free — because every founder deserves user feedback without a $400/month tax.
The magic is in the multiplayer experience. Users see avatars of everyone else viewing the roadmap. Votes update instantly across all viewers. Features flow through a visual Kanban board: Suggested → Planned → Building → Shipped. When you move a card to "Shipped," your users see it happen live.
Discussion threads let users go deeper — explain why they want something, debate implementation approaches, get direct responses from the founder. It transforms the roadmap from a static document into a living conversation with your community.

Real-Time Voting
Users upvote features they want, votes update instantly across all viewers. That satisfying dopamine hit when your vote registers — users feel heard and valued.
Live Multiplayer Presence
See avatars of active viewers and real-time cursor tracking (Figma-style). Creates a community feeling — "Wow, others are here too!" Increases engagement and time on page.
Visual Kanban Board
Features flow through Suggested (purple) → Planned (blue) → Building (amber) → Shipped (green) columns. Clear visual status at a glance with satisfying card movements.
Feature Suggestions
Logged-in users can propose new features with titles, descriptions, and categories. Crowdsourced product ideas with early signal on market demand.
Discussion Threads
Each feature has a comment section where users discuss, founders respond (marked distinctly), and likes surface the best ideas. Qualitative feedback beyond votes.
Roadmaps started as frustration with existing tools. I wanted a public roadmap for my own products but couldn't justify $400/month for Canny when I was bootstrapping. Notion felt too static — users couldn't vote or engage.
So I built what I wanted: a live, multiplayer roadmap that feels like Figma. You can see who else is viewing. Votes update instantly. There's energy to the page — it doesn't feel like a dead document.
The free pricing is intentional. I believe every founder deserves user feedback without a software tax. The tool runs on the same infrastructure as my other products, marginal cost is near zero, and the community benefit outweighs any subscription revenue.
Roadmaps now powers the public roadmaps for BuildKit, TestFlow, ClearMetrics, and several client products. It's become a core piece of how I build in public — users shape what gets prioritized, and they see their suggestions move through the pipeline to "Shipped."
